Thank you for your interest in Volunteers for Medical Outreach! 

To become a general member or trip member, you must be a current student at UC Berkeley. The application will open in the beginning of each fall semester. After the application cycle closes, you will be notified if you are invited to an interview.

There are three groups of members--Board Members, Trip Members, and General Members. Board Members help organize the trip, run the club, and fundraise for medical supplies for the service trip. Trip Members that go on the summer service trip to host the mobile health clinics alongside healthcare professionals. Required to pay the deposit + flight expenses and help fundraise for medical supplies throughout the year. General Members help with fundraising and can participate in various volunteering event during the school year. Great way to be involved especially if you are interested in applying to be a trip member in the future. 

The application cycle is at the beginning of each fall semester.

9/12: Applications are due at 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.

9/18 - 9/19: Interviews by Invitation only. Please check your emails for an invite.

Aside from all the fundraising we do, we train and prepare our members through various workshop, such as blood pressure measurement, and CPR. Every meeting, our members will learn about a current public health issues in Vietnam and globally. In partnership with local daycare, VMO members also make visits to give health lessons to young children.
